Videography Work
STEPS OF THE PROCESS
Storyboarding: Planning and outlining the visual narrative, scenes, shots, sequences, and transitions of the video content to ensure a cohesive and engaging storytelling structure.
Pre-production: Organizing logistics, scheduling, budgeting, casting, location scouting, scriptwriting, creating shot lists, and assembling production crew and equipment before filming begins.
Filming/Shooting: Capturing video footage using cameras, lighting equipment, audio recording devices, and other production tools to bring the storyboarded concept to life, ensuring high-quality visuals and sound.
Directing: Guiding actors, on-screen talent, and crew members during filming to achieve the desired performances, compositions, framing, camera movements, and overall aesthetic of the video.
Editing: Reviewing, selecting, and assembling video clips, audio tracks, graphics, animations, transitions, special effects, and text overlays using video editing software to create a polished and coherent final product.
Color Grading: Enhancing and adjusting the color, tone, contrast, saturation, and visual style of video footage to achieve a consistent look, mood, and atmosphere throughout the video.
Audio Mixing: Balancing, enhancing, and editing audio elements, including dialogue, music, sound effects, and ambient sounds, to ensure clear, immersive, and impactful audio experiences for viewers.
Motion Graphics: Creating and integrating animated elements, typography, logos, and visual effects into videos to convey information, enhance storytelling, and add visual interest.
Post-production Effects: Adding visual effects, compositing, green screen/keying, 3D animations, and CGI elements to enhance the visual appeal and storytelling impact of the video content.
Distribution and Promotion: Publishing, sharing, and promoting videos across digital platforms (e.g., websites, social media, streaming services) to reach target audiences, increase engagement, and achieve campaign objectives through strategic distribution and promotion efforts.
Video and Audio Editing Examples

This is an example of an instructional video created to give employees at Compassionate Home Care information about a new policy going into effect. This had a two-day turnaround timeline.
This is an example of a story video that I shot and edited. I was just learning to use new camera equipment and lighting equipment for this story.
This is an example of a project that I worked with the story lab students to complete. I taught them how to complete the videography steps, and they produced this product (with help from the producer, which was me.)
This is an example of the monthly virtual meeting information that I prepared and distributed company-wide each month to make sure all employees who work in the field and remotely were kept in the loop about CHC happenings.
This is an example of a story video that I edited. I was learning to use new editing software when I edited this story.
This is the Vine and Branches Stories podcast. I edit all of the podcast interviews to alleviate filler language, awkward pauses, mistakes, and background noise. I want the podcasts to sound as crisp and clear as possible.
